I went by the gear shop to ask about how best to give myself a two-legged rear end, and the guy said he had a power ram kit and let’s push out the rear quarter, so we did. I was going to use 4x4s and a bottle jack, but his Mack Tools purpose-built ram tool was
the
kind
.
I’m going to the Turlock Swap Meet next weekend and I’ll look for some tires.

I went to a gear and transmission shop to talk with the proprietor about what might be the most cost-effective way to convert the rear axle in my P71 to a lower gear ratio and LSD/Track Loc/Posi so that I could spin both wheels at once and do a bit of drifting . While I was there, the guy looked at the rear quarter of my car and then produced a tool set similar to the one pictured above, with which we pushed the rear quarter over and out so that the trunk lid would then close properly.

At first I actually thought your plate was O P P O, then I saw it was just a way to block your real one.

It’s like 4% more aerodynamic now. You should probably only drive it to weddings now

Actually, I cant wait to see it!
Fun story time! I used to work for the company that designed the Freedom class LCS.
I learned that the cool camo paint came about by accident - they wanted to put the black on there to cover up soot streaks from the diesel exhaust, and someone in a meeting was doodling it and making little fractal patterns and an Admiral saw it and was like “ Eureka! Paint it like this!”

I'm working on a mock-up now. I've never painted a car other than maybe with a rattle can.

I’ll be reporting here. Turns out the paint is VERY expensive, so I may be working with rattle cans.

Hmm. I know really high end paint can get pricey, but I figured there were different grades or options. You could always Plastidip it!

More research for me to do, for sure. And working up the design.
